Gotcha. Well to be fair, it's not always within their control what happens with their schedules. I remember one year Dana Ashbrook received a sizeable role in
Dawson's Creek that he just couldn't pass up. And so he had to back out of the festival a few weeks beforehand. At the time I was an attendee and at first I was pissed. I was like...hey! Thanks for ditching us! But then I realized that for him it was like for the rest of us showing up for our jobs every day. We do what we have to, to pay the bills. A paying acting job definitely trumps the festival any day. I wish that weren't the case, but...we wouldn't love these celebs if they weren't actors to begin with, giving us a fantastic show that we're willing to travel hundreds (or thousands) of miles every year to celebrate! So it's just one of those things we have to learn to accept. It's not easy. I know this.
And y'all are being really good sports about this and I can't thank you enough for that.
